Over 20 years ago I was introduced to traditional blacksmithing by members of the Mississippi Forge Council (MFC).
I have been hooked ever since.
The MFC is a not for profit organization dedicated to preserving and teaching old time blacksmithing techniques to anyone interested. I was more interested than I knew, the idea that you could manipulate iron to your will fascinates me, as well as a lot of others. From this group has come some of my most treasured friends.
From traditional blacksmithing I have explored new horizons using copper as well as steel.
Most interesting to me is commission work that tests my skill level to the point that I am required to learn more.
Custom metalwork, copper or steel, using traditional and modern techniques, it's what I do.
